Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using UPixel, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. We may update these terms from time to time — continued use after changes are posted means you accept the revised terms.

2. What UPixel does

UPixel is an AI-powered pixel art generation tool for indie game developers. You provide prompts and style settings; we generate pixel art assets using third-party AI models (Replicate). The service is currently in early access and provided as-is.

3. Accounts and credits

You must register with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Credits are consumed each time you generate an asset. Free credits are provided on sign-up and do not carry over if the account is deleted. Purchased credits are non-refundable unless required by applicable law.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use UPixel to:

  • Generate content that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service
  • Resell or redistribute access to the platform
  • Create content that infringes on existing copyrights or trademarks

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Generated assets

Assets generated using UPixel are yours to use in your projects, including commercial ones. We do not claim ownership over your outputs. However, because outputs are AI-generated, we make no guarantees regarding originality or freedom from third-party intellectual property claims. Use your own judgement.

6. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice. We are not liable for any loss resulting from downtime or changes to features. This is an early-access product — expect rough edges.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

UPixel is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that generated assets will meet your expectations or be fit for any particular purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UPixel and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 30 days prior to the claim.
